One of the strongest aspects of this exegesis is that a number of people from a wide variety of backgrounds will find it relevant and a must read: reformers, scholars, academics, philosophers and simple lay people.I don't agree with everything in the commentary, I don't think he is right on many things. I was saddened by his rejection of ijtihad, and I don't believe the transformation he went through in jail was positive over all. Qutb also unfortunately falls into anti-Semitism at times which takes away from some strong points that he makes regarding Zionism.The format of the new edition containing Adil Salahi's translation is very helpful and doesn't provide obstacles to the reader.
